Work remotely from anywhere as a Software Developer

Software Developer (Xamarin)

Brecon Beacons (Option for remote working) – Due to the location of this role (Brecon Beacons National Park in Powys, Wales), exegesis are considering applicants from right across the UK and therefore there are remote options for this role

Who are we?

exeGesIS is a well-established and respected software consultancy with an impressive portfolio of information management applications used in the environmental and conservation sectors. In the last few months alone we have been working on dozens of interesting projects for clients including Natural England, the RNLI, the National Trust, Central Government, English Heritage, The Ramblers, many local authorities, Wildlife Trusts and the Church of England. In fact most of the major UK conservation and land management organisations are regular clients and we also have a number of important conservation clients overseas, particularly in N. Europe.

We are a continuously growing Conservation Management organisation that has been taking the environmental sector by storm and we are looking for dynamic, like-minded individuals to join us on our journey. The real challenge will be to keep up with the demand from new clients and using the latest tech, to develop components, services and web applications that will help shape our operations moving forward.

With this continuous growth, we are now currently looking for top-class Developers to join our team in Brecon, where you will be working within a cross-skilled, agile team, developing maintainable, efficient software applications.

As a Xamarin Developer, you will work in a team of highly skilled Developers, Testers and Product Owners to design and develop web/mobile applications for Geographical Information Systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity to get on board with a very established company with a great brand and reputation.

More specifically, you will:

  • Have sound knowledge of mobile design principles

  • Be experienced with C# and the Xamarin SDK, with particular experience delivering iOS and Android apps using Xamarin Forms

  • Be familiar with RESTful APIs to connect mobile applications to back-end services

  • Have built, or helped build several, operational Xamarin apps

And any of the following would be a bonus:

  • Experience of developing Xamarin apps using location services and mapping

  • Web application development: ASP.Net MVC and/or ASP.Net WebForms.

We have great salaries and the opportunity to progress, also, with a brilliant benefits package on offer including the option of overtime and supported remote working.
